Irkut Corp. manufactures and sales of military and civil aircrafts. The company is headquartered in Moscow, Moscow and currently employs 20,660 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2004-12-03. The firm and its subsidiaries are engaged in rendering services related to research and development of military and civil aircraft. The firm operates through four segments: include SU-30 Program, YAK-130 Program, MC-21 Program and Cooperation. The SU-30 Program segment includes the development, manufacturing and distribution of SU-30 aircraft, components and service equipment. The YAK-130 Program segment consists of the development, manufacturing and distribution of YAK-130 aircraft components and service equipment. The MC-21 Program segment includes the development of a civil aircraft with silicon wing. The Cooperation segment consists of the products, which are developed and manufactured in cooperation with Airbus. Its research and development is carried out both for the Company and the Russian Federation.

Входит в состав ПАО «Объединённая авиастроительная корпорация».

Предприятие  создано в 2002 г. на базе ОАО «Иркутское авиационное производственное объединение». Интеграция в корпоративную структуру ОАО «ОКБ им. А.С.Яковлева» обеспечила расширение продуктового ряда и устойчивое развитие Корпорации.

Конструкторский коллектив «ОКБ им. А.С.Яковлева» стал базой для создания Инженерного центра им. А.С. Яковлева – главного конструкторского подразделения ПАО «Корпорация «Иркут».

Опытное и серийное производство продукции предприятия обеспечивает Иркутский авиационный завод (ИАЗ).
