Goldplat Plc engages in the provision of gold and other precious metals. The firm is engaged in international gold recovery operations located in South Africa and Ghana. The firm's operations are conducted through its subsidiaries, which include Goldplat Recovery (Pty) Limited SA (Goldplat Recovery) and Goldplat Recovery Ghana Limited (Goldplat Recovery Ghana). Goldplat Recovery’s technology provides an economic method for mines to dispose of waste materials while at the same time adhering to a mine’s environmental obligations. Goldplat Recovery operates from an approximately 22-hectare freehold site based near Benoni in Gauteng, which is near the center of the East Rand Goldfield. Goldplat Recovery Ghana has contracts with mine operators, including AngloGold Ashanti, Golden Star Mining, Newmont, Perseus and Goldfields. Its plant’s location provides access to raw materials from mines in Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire Senegal, and Mauritania as well as Ghana.
